Finland

Throw-back-Thursday to Finnish Party Suites

Way back in 2010, I studied abroad in Turku (Finland).  Something I found pretty rad was that students wore "boiler suits" or opiskelijahaalari in Finnish.   The colour of the suits are specific to each faculty or program.  They are worn to parties and pubs, and are often covered in badges that reflect their interests and activities; kind of like a walking memorial to parties and student years passed. If I remember correctly, you can never wash them. In the picture, I'm wearing one of my Finnish friend's pairs of overalls. I should probably go back to Finland on some May 1st to experience Vappu.

Finland was the best.
